Ten on Tuesday

1. What is your current favorite television show?

Seeing as how I don’t really watch TV except to fall asleep, I’ll have to go with the old standbys: Seinfeld and King of Queens.

2. Apple juice or orange juice?

Orange juice. With champagne. That’s an option, right?

3. It’s Shark Week on Discover Channel. Do you watch? Why or why not?

No!!!!! I swear to you if I watched Shark Week, I would never get into the water again. NEVER.

4. What are the non-blog websites that you visit regularly?

My company’s intranet. Does that count? I also consult The Google and Westlaw quite a bit. Holy crap, my life is lame.

5. What is your favorite way to prepare green beans? Asparagus? Potatoes? Carrots?

All of these things? Wow. Green beans: boiled very quickly and tossed with salt and a wee bit of butter. Asparagus: roasted but just for a few minutes. I like it crunchy. With olive oil & garlic. Potatoes: diced and sauteed with a bit of water, cover and let steam until tender. Add some olive oil, balsamic vinegar and garlic salt. Put in mouth and experience heaven. Carrots: I don’t really like carrots. I guess with lime juice. The woman I used to nanny for taught me that. Lime juice and a bit of salt. I don’t like carrots…but if I can make them resemble a margarita, I’m all in.

6. What is your favorite flower?

Tulips.

7. How do you feel about handkerchiefs?

I love them. LOVE them. So much so that I gave embroidered hankies to all the “helpers” in our wedding (guestbook attendant, etc.)

8. If you could only shop at 3 stores for the rest of your life, what would they be? (You probably should include a grocery store.)

Super Target, Costco, Nordstrom.

9. If you could only use wine for one purpose for the rest of your life, which would you choose? To cook with or to drink?

I love to cook with wine….but since I’ve already mentioned booze twice in this post already, let’s make the third time a charm. Bottoms up!!!

10. What’s your bedtime?

9 pm. Not ashamed. If that kid is asleep, I want every shot I can get at getting some shut eye before he invariably wakes up because (goodness forbid!) his pacifier fell out. He has discovered how to take it out of his mouth…he loves doing it. Until he realizes that the thing is NOTINMYMOUTHANDOHMYGOSHYOUBETTERGETBACKINTHISMOUTHRIGHTTHISVERYINSTANT!!!!

10 reminds me of Liam. When he first learned to roll over from his back to his stomach, that is all he wanted to do. Thing is... he hated being on his stomach.

I had a dream the other night that I was on some game show and I had to name the sitcom based on the theme song. They played the very end of the King of Queens song (just that final instrumental part) and I could not for life of me think of it! When I woke up, I thought to myself "duh, King of Queens...Molly would be so ashamed..." Then I quizzed Andrew and he failed as well. The end.

Amelia had the omg, pacifier out moments too. At 2, she still does lol. After she could reach around and sort of figure it out, I'd leave a 2nd one in the crib too, cut down on the amounts of times she woke up cos of it being gone.
