Call it Anything But “Feven Fosts for Friday”

1. To the random google searchers that found my blog during NEDA week: I know you are here. Or at least you were last week. Google Analytics told me so. Thank you for your anonymous comments, thank you for your courage to comment at all, and thank you for looking for answers out there in the world wide web. It does get better. Life on the other side is wonderful, happy, and it is far from fat. Hang in there, get help, and know that you are not alone. I promise: recovery is so very worth it.

2. This is the last week that my son’s life is measured in months. After this, it’s years. YEARS people. As of Monday, my kid is one year old. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?

3. I know that I hate IKEA and everything…but I don’t. I love it. I love it so much it’s kind of insane. John and I spent a good 3 hours there last Monday with Jackaroo in Houston before my appointment with an eye specialist there. Even though I got some bad news that day, it was completely overshadowed by my grand day at IKEA with my boys and Swedish meatballs. Anyway, we picked out a new bedroom set which we REALLY need because our Target furniture that we got for our wedding (which has now been through 3 moves) is falling apart. We also picked out a “big boy bed” for when Jack grows out of his crib and a little brother or sister needs to use it. It’s a bed + drawers + it converts into a double bed for when we have visitors and the guest room has become baby’s room. I can’t wait to buy it all! Why do things have to cost money?? I keep envisioning how I am going to rearrange our bedroom and I can’t wait!

4. We also need a new desk chair. That one wasn’t on the list for IKEA furniture but it’s happening. This one makes my back hurt EVERY single time I sit in it for longer than 10 minutes. John bought it because it was cheap. You get what you pay for, kid. It’s called a “tractor chair” for pete’s sake. It’s horrible. There is absolutely NO back support. What made you think this would be a good chair for me to work from home in and for you to finish your MBA in? Walmart Blue Light Special – 1. John – 0.

5. Seriously, I’ve been sitting here for 15 minutes and I feel like my neck is about to pop off of the rest of my body.

6. Jack is sick. Happy Birthday, kid. For your first birthday, you get a cold! YAY!!!!

7. I am excited for the weekend. I have worked late most nights this week and I miss my boys. I plan to throw my blackberry in my briefcase and not look at it a single time this weekend.

What are YOU up to this lovely Saturday + Sunday combo?

We bought "reasonably priced" IKEA office chair and I LOVE it. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20086724
More expensive than the 16.00 dollar chair but totally worth it. There is a part that rubs my lower back just right. mmmmmm.
I need to blog...

I hope Jack feels better and has a wonderful 1st birthday! It's amazing how quickly the first year goes by!

I am also on the lookout for a comfy chair that's inexpensive. Let me know if you find one that you like!
