The other part of the story that you didn’t hear yesterday was that while I was giving birth to Jack, my big sister was in labor with her own sweet little boy. After going to the hospital at the same time that we did, Browyn walked up and down the halls trying to get her labor moving. Her labor was anything but the delightful time I had. Her epidural didn’t work on half of her body so one half was perfectly numb while her other side felt every little part of childbirth. She pushed for hours longer than I did and the doctor ended up having to use forceps to get Brady out. Just a mere 8 hours after Jack arrived in this world, Brady boy made his appearance.

Browyn, Brady, and Austin moved from Nebraska to San Antonio a few months ago. And it’s been wonderful. I love watching Jack and Brady play together and knowing that they are so close and will grow up to be friends…at least until they are 14 or so and decide that they hate each other or something. Until then, I will soak up the excitement of watching them play together. Brady, I love you. I love your sweet bald head and your cute open mouth smile. I love the way you rub your tummy when you walk around the house. I love your teeny tiny bites and the way that you are so very chill almost every second of the day. I love seeing my big sister when I look at you. I love that you don’t hit my kid even when he picks on you (forgive him, he’s not a daycare baby like you are. He doesn’t know how to play nice. Thank you for being patient with him anyway). I love your giant brown eyes and your ridiculously long eyelashes. I love your steady, calm personality. You are my wonderful nephew and I am so glad that you are a part of my life. Happy birthday, Brady boy. We love you.
