(By the way, do you ever get confused and think I write most of the posts.. and you’re reading it in my voice, but it’s actually Molly. And you don’t figure it out until you reach a line where it’s like, “..then I went to get a manicure.” and you think, John gets a manicure? Then you realize it’s actually Molly writing.. Just wondering.)
Anyway, the date is approaching where we’ll begin work on our backyard. We went on Saturday and ordered the flagstone and the decomposed granite. We also got additional dirt for the planter, because apparently my dog like to dig it out.
We spent Sunday afternoon cleaning up the area. I dug out part of the fence gate so it could open all the way for the delivery of the goods.
In truth, I’m quite nervous.
I want it to look like that. It’ll be in the garden part of the yard.
That patio will go in this part of the yard:
Remember, I recently built a retaining wall as well:
The flagstone I got is a sandy color with red in it to go along with the red in our brick on the house.
We also just got an orange tree and a dwarf apple tree for this area as well.
Finally, I want to light it with some strands of light hanging between the fence and the house. I haven’t fully decided on this, but I’m thinking about it.
