I had every intention of writing a post about our New Orleans vacation. But I can’t figure out how to get the blasted pictures from the trip off of John’s fancy pants camera. So instead I will tell you a bunch of random stuff. You’re welcome.
Hopefully John can assist me with my picture problems later and I’ll have a lovely NOLA post up and ready for your reading enjoyment on Wednesday.
Random Thing #1: We went to the zoo yesterday with Browyn and Brady. You guys, I really cannot put into words how much it melts my heart to see these two boys interact. They are totally best friends and I was just so hoping that would happen when Browyn and I both found out we were having boys. It’s so wonderful to watch it happen before my eyes.
Random Thing #2: John and I *may* have found a church. We aren’t 100% sold—we only attended one Sunday but we liked it. Now, granted, it was no Thanksgiving Lutheran (the church we attended in Nebraska and just miss to pieces) but it really felt like people cared that we were there. What we are really looking for in a church right now is great fellowship and lots of involvement opportunities. It looks like this church may have that. We have committed to attend there throughout all of Lent so that we can get a true feel for it. We’ll see. If not, we have some good friends who have invited us to their church too so at least we will know some people if we decide to go elsewhere. But man! The search for a church is tough!
Random Thing #3: When I did my asked in a Fost a few weeks ago for suggestions on hair straighteners, I don’t think I got a single suggestion. But you know what I did get? AN OFFER BY MY LOVELY FRIEND KAITLYNN TO GIVE ME HER UNUSED CHI!!!! Say WHAT? Yeah, I’m now the owner of a chi….that was free…thanks to my G (girl), KB. Okay, those aren’t her initials anymore but I needed to rhyme. THANKS KAITLYNN!!!! I love you! I loved you before too but this just helps up the ante. 
Random Thing #4: I am working on a cross-stitch for a friend. It’s a really important one and I just can’t get it perfect. It’s driving me bananas. It’s just a heart basically but it has to be just so…and I can’t get it just so. Maybe I’m only good at snarky cross stitch?
Random Thing #5: My little sister is back from Virginia. She was working there since August and I freaking missed her. Ever since she’s been back, Jack’s first words upon waking are, “Favorite? FAVORITE???” (she has taught the boys to call her that—no Aunt Bridget in this house) Yesterday she taught him to ride on a broom and was telling him the benefits of the Nimbus 3000 and talking with him about Quidditch. Is it any wonder that I missed her?

I want a Favorite! I mean, I have no idea how to properly ride a Nimbus 3000. These things are imperative for my development.

You look so cute in the zoo picture!
You can do something snarky on my phone if you want. Maybe you can do the heart on actual cross stitch fabric and I can frame it. That would be more permanent.
